What to Bring on your Hunting Trip with Big Country Outfitters

Guided Elk Hunts in Colorado The following is a list of suggested items to bring for your hunting trip. We also recommend being in good physical condition before your trip. No need to train for a triathlon, but getting out and walking for 20 minutes a day for a few weeks leading up to your hunt will make a world of difference.

For pack in camps preferably all gear other than your day pack and weapon is packed into one 80 lb or less waterproof duffel bag.

Arctic sleeping bag. Rated 0 to -15 for archery, -20 to -30 for rifle seasons. Bare in mind the temperature rating for a sleeping bag is not for comfort but merely for survival. So even though we do not see the extreme temperatures that these bag ratings suggest that is what it will take to be comfortable.
